Where is God, especially in times of need, pain or suffering? He is always near, but never imposes Himself on anyone. Many resign themselves to the idea that God’s ways are beyond our understanding, so simply call it a mystery and accept their circumstance. The Lord says in the Bible, “draw near to God and He will draw near to you,” James 4:8.
–
The Lord knows the torment of our pain, even that of our own doing, but still offers to help us through it and in many cases heal us. “A bruised reed shall He not break, and the smoking flax (candle wick) shall He not quench. He shall bring forth judgment unto truth.” Isaiah 42:3.
–
Jesus paid for our sin by sacrificing His own life, so we can be free to start over again. God knows our hearts better than we do and yet still loves us. He can both heal and restore us to innocence, if we “allow” Him. (1 John 1:9, John 3:16, Romans 10:8-10),
–
Salvation is a matter of openly accepting His gift of Love, Jesus. We need to admit our sin and truly believe in our heart that Jesus is our Lord, was crucified and resurrected. Jesus will be returning soon to take those with the Holy Spirit (oil in their lamps) and forever be His beloved Bride.
–
May your heart be filled with His love and presence.
